Hi! I’m Leslie Scarpa and I am so glad you stopped by! I am a southern “empty nester” living in the Metro Atlanta area with my husband, son and daughter –both in college, and two cats. Becoming an empty nester brought an array of mixed emotions that I have had to sort through in order to adapt to my new stage in life. The process was a journey that led me to exciting discoveries! I jumped into the field of entrepreneurship in 2016 and have grown and learned in ways I didn’t know possible. It’s been fun and yes, a bit scary at times, but I am having a blast! I decided to become a blogger to connect and mentor others to gain confidence through entrepreneurship, beauty and volunteerism.
As a former teacher of at-risk youth, I still love to stay involved with education either through substitute teaching or volunteering. Helping at-risk youth is a passion project for me and I love that my business allows me the opportunity to be a Partner in Education for The Hill Center. You can read more about The Hill Center here.
I love to spend time with friends, take road trips with my husband and go on long family vacations. I cannot live without peanut butter and tortilla chips – not together. The way to my heart is with a simple smile and a good belly laugh. Coffee or wine go a long way as well.
So as we say in the South. “Come on in and sit a spell.” I can’t wait to get to know each other better! And don’t be shy, I love to hear from you.
